Venice is one of the most visited cities in the world, identified by many as the most beautiful city in the world, and certainly acknowledged by all as among the most characteristic. In 1979 it was declared a World Heritage by UNESCO.
The canals run alongside the streets in perfect harmony, the contrast of land and water, the gondolas - elongated vessels operated by one person with a single oar, the historic bridges, the Piazza San Marco, the Teatro La Fenice...all contribute to the exceptional unique quality of Venice, enhanced even further by its famous Carnival and the Venice International Film Festival, which attracts many international celebrities year after year.
It is a city dedicated to art in every form, during your yacht charter in Venice you will find many museums and majestic palaces, holding within them the works of Jacopo Tintoretto, G. B. Tiepolo, Titian, Veronese, Bellini, Giorgione, and many others. Significant time and space is also given to modern and contemporary art, and every two years, the Biennale is organised, and you can also visit the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, which includes several works by contemporary artists.
Venice is not a home to the usual nightlife fun characteristic of large cities, there are no nightclubs, but there are many pubs, bars and restaurants, where delicious dishes are offered and where you can listen to great live jazz. And game lovers will find their paradise at the Casino, one of the most prestigious in the world.
Venice is easily accessed by boat, through the Port of Chioggia, Malamocco and the Lido.
