Sunreef Yachts was established in 2000 in Gdansk, Poland, by its actual CEO Francis Lapp, who was born in 1958, Alsace-in France. Lapp entered the yachting world by Sunreef Travels, a travel agency specializing in yacht rentals on the Indian Ocean. And this is what pushed him to get involved in building his own catamarans and luxury multihulls.
The company's first, highly innovative luxury catamaran was the Sunreef 74, which was launched in 2003 (the world's first catamaran with a flybridge equipped with a centralized helm station). The company is now considered one of the world leaders in the design and construction of large luxury catamarans ranging from 60 to 200 feet.
Today with more than 140 sailing and motor catamarans sailing all over the world. The company is a leader in the custom construction of luxury catamarans.
