Yesterday, Steve Jobs‘ superyacht Venus collided with another yacht, the Lady Moura, while both were anchored. The 78-meter Venus drifted dangerously close to the 105-meter Lady Moura, and despite the Lady Moura crew’s attempts to avoid it, the collision occurred. The captain of the Venus attributed the incident to a sudden wind shift.

Ricardo Salinas, owner of the Lady Moura, filmed the collision and shared the footage online, criticizing the Venus crew for their failure to prevent the crash. Fortunately, the damage was limited to a costly scratch.

The Lady Moura, launched in 1990 and sold in 2021 for $125 million, is one of the most famous yachts in the world. The Venus was commissioned by Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple, but he passed away before its completion in 2011. The yacht was delivered to his widow, Laurene Powell Jobs, in 2012, and has been used privately since.
